Solstice gathering
An evening to mark the longest day — flower-bunches, a long table outside, a shared meal, and music after dark. Bring a friend.
Welcome to our solstice gathering — the longest day of the year, the harbour at its softest, and the café garden set up for a slow evening together.
What’s on
14:00 — Doors open. Bring a picnic basket and stay through the afternoon.
15:00 — Garland-making. Wildflowers and ribbon at the back table — we’ll show you how if you’ve never made one.
16:00 — Raising the flower pole, with songs we’ll teach as we go.
17:00 — A shared meal: pickled fish, new potatoes, strawberries with cream. Vegetarian and vegan options on the table next to it.
19:00 — Music and dancing into the long light.
Practical info
The gathering is free to attend. Food can be bought at the counter inside, or bring your own picnic — both are welcome.
You may bring your own drinks. We also pour from the bar inside.
Dogs welcome on a lead.
If it rains, we move inside — the back room is weatherproof.
